Owen Hicks architecture is a design led practice based in the historic city of Hereford, working throughout Herefordshire, Shropshire, Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and Powys.

We undertake a diverse portfolio of projects across a variety of sectors including residential, commercial, educational, and healthcare.

Our previous projects range from individually designed new houses, residential schemes for local developers, domestic extensions, barn conversions, commercial / retail, renovations and changes of use. We are truly passionate about what we do.

We understand that every project is unique, and we pride ourselves on tailoring the services we provide to meet the individual requirements of our clients and their projects.We have an excellent working relationship with local planning authorities, and are members of the local authority building control partner authority scheme.

Owen Hicks Architecture was incorporated in 2013, following the merger of Mark Owen Architect and JJH Architectural Design Limited. Owen Hicks Architecture combines over twenty years industry experience and is one of the region’s most exciting emergent Architectural practices.

Mark Owen

Having formed OHA with Jim Hicks in 2013, Mark has worked as lead Director on a variety of projects, working with domestic, commercial and educational Clients. He previously worked for Aedas in London, as lead Architect on PFI Schools in Sheffield and Brighton. He studied Architecture at Oxford Polytechnic (now Oxford Brookes University), becoming a qualified Architect in 1997.

Jim Hicks

Having formed OHA with Mark Owen in 2013, Jim has worked as lead Director on a variety of projects, working with developer, residential and commercial Clients. He previously worked for Border Oak’s design team in Kingsland, working on various projects throughout the UK, Japan and North America. He has also worked with PRS Architects in Kennington, London.

Lee Greening

Lee joined OHA in November 2013, following his graduation from Reading University and is currently undertaking his APC, working towards becoming a Chartered Surveyor. Prior to University Lee studied Construction at Hereford College of Technology, and has always had a keen interest in architecture and the construction industry.
