Client: Private Individual
Main Contractor: NA

A new development of ten houses ranging from two to four bedrooms in size within the historic village of Eardisland. The site lies within Eardisland Conservation area and early discussions with the client and local council established a design brief based on a contemporary re-working of the village’s vernacular building forms arranged around a new winding lane, typical of the historic graining. The buildings incorporate solar thermal panels, timber cladding, render, brick, slate and clay tile, with modern, high-performance composite windows and a package of landscape and biodiversity improvement features.
